Introduction: 800 women, 1 topic – AI and creativity
Over the past twelve months, we have welcomed more than 800 women – freelancers, e-shoppers, marketers, coaches, photographers and online course authors – to our workshops. They have one thing in common: the desire to grow and create faster without losing their own authenticity. We’ve seen firsthand that Creativity in the AI era is not about talent. It’s about mind-set, small steps, and how we can embrace AI as an amplifier – not a replacement.
That’s where this article was created: to let you choose from our experience what will shift your unique style and turn AI into a real competitive advantage.
Why a creative mindset is more important than tools
“It’s never just about the technology – it’s all about you.”
The biggest shift comes the moment you realize that every AI tool is a personality amplifier. First we need to know who we are, who we are creating for and what we want to achieve. Only then comes the choice of software or prompts.
A recent study (Cai, 2024) demonstrates that AI best supports the brainstorming and ideation phase if the user perceives it as a partner, not a competitor.
Mini-c vs. Big-C creative thinking
- Mini-c creativity – everyday small ideas that make you original.
- Big-C creativity – projects that change the market and build your brand.
Four working styles of creative professionals
“It’s never just about the technology, it’s primarily about you”
The most powerful shift occurred when the participants realized that the AI tool was an amplifier of their personality. The tools are only the second step. First who am I, who am I creating this for and what do I actually want to achieve with it?
Visuals – think in pictures
She loves moodboards, color palettes, and Pinterest examples. She starts with a picture that sparks her imagination, then writes the text.
Lyricist – words before the image
He goes about it the other way around: he conceptualizes the outline, writes the rough text, and only then looks for a visual that captures the tone.
Organiser – system over chaos
It lives in templates and checklists. It uses AI for automated to-do lists, file versioning, or clear project management.
Communicator – dialogue as an engine of creation
The fastest way to get started is in a conversation – with a colleague or directly with an AI chatbot. It asks questions, summarises and composes the final concept from the answers.
Common mini-habits that AI will accelerate and unify
From the workshops we put together a map of customs:
- flash notes on your phone,
- voice memo from the road,
- templates in Canva,
- video transcripts and mindmaps
- auto-correct text.
Modern AI tools manage to link these little things into a single stream: they make an outline out of a voicemail, a quick visual out of a voicemail, and three formats for different platforms out of a visual.
The most common time constraints and the “20 minutes to first draft” ritual
Paradoxically, most of the time is not wasted on the “hard tasks”, but on the start-up. We were helped by a simple ritual that you can do in 20 minutes:
- A goal in one sentence – what does the result have to accomplish?
- 2-3 limitations – length, tone, number of elements.
- Three quick drafts – no self-censorship, draft only.
Then you enter the AI prompt – and you have the first usable suggestion without procrastination.
Micro-activities with big impact
1 spark, 1 question
After a break, each participant writes down one “aha” and one question. The questions immediately turn into prompts; the group sees that the AI is responding to their real needs.
Limitation = spark
Set a limit: for example 100 words, 1 colour, 2 pictures. Paradoxically, it is the limits that will generate a more concrete result than a loose “make something nice”.
Tangible results from workshops
- 1-pager brand style and voice – compass for all content.
- A bank of hooks, CTAs and FAQ answers – always on hand when time is pressing.
- Moodboard + 2 visual concepts – quick start design.
- Mini “operating manual ” – who, what, when and handover checklist.
How to build a routine: 10 minutes a day
10 minutes a day > 3 hours once a month.
Pick one situation – e.g. “newsletter outline” – and practice it with AI for a week. Routine wins over a one-off onslaught.
Tools and workflow for every style
| Style | Popular AI tool | Quick tip |
|---|---|---|
| Visuals | Midjourney + Canva | Use “/describe” to back images and brand palette plugins |
| Copywriter | ChatGPT + Grammarly | Prompt “Rewrite in brand voice” saves 15 min. for each article |
| Organiser | Notion AI | The “Content Calendar” template fills itself from the CSV |
| Communicator | Gemini / Claude | Create a role persona and conduct an iterative dialogue |
How to measure AI’s contribution to creativity and business
- Speed – minutes from idea to publication.
- Consistency – the percentage of outputs in the brand voice.
- Engagement – clicks, comments, shares.
- ROI – time savings × hourly rate.
The future of creativity: human and AI collaboration
Recent projects, such as Stanford’s virtual AI lab, are proving that “digital colleagues” can design prototypes while we bring context and value.
The most common myths that hinder creativity
- AI steals my job – no, the job is taken over by the human who controls the AI.
- Creativity can’t be taught – it can, it’s a set of habits.
- I need a perfect prompt – feedback and iterations are more important.
Ethical boundaries and authenticity in the age of AI
- Transparency – acknowledge the use of AI for sensitive content.
- Copyright – verify the sources of data and images.
- Responsible experimentation – test, but don’t hide changes from your audience.
